Q. How much does a photo editing job cost?
A. It's hard to say that in advance because some edits are simple and some are extremely complicated.
Removing the woman with the pink helmet took hours, but the client loved the results. Also, sometimes
I need to play with the picture for a few minutes to even have a sense of how big the job is.
The good news is that I never charge for an estimate and it's free to upload a picture to me to ask what
the fee would be. That being said, please tell me what you want done to the picture! I might see a
number of things that could be improved in the picture, but if all you want is one pimple removed, I
might overquote the job. Sometimes, I'll let you know what it would cost for just what you request,
but also tell you what ideas I have to make it even better and you can decide which way to go.
Q. How do I upload a picture to you?
A. After filling out the contact info form, I'll reply with an email address you can send your picture to.
It should be a .jpg, .gif, or .psd format file under 10M. If it's anything
else, mention this in the contact
form so we can look at options.
A. Most people pay by check. If faster turnaround is an issue so that I start working sooner
than waiting for the check to arrive, then MasterCard and Visa are possible for a small
additional surcharge. If you're close-by in San Diego, cash is certainly welcome as well.
Q. I see that you sometimes post your work on your website? Am I at risk of that?
A. I WISH I could show some of my favorite work I've done for clients, but their privacy comes first.
However, I'm appreciative when a client tells me that it would be okay to post the picture as an example.
Q. Do you mark the photos in any way like photographers do?
A.
It depends on the situation. This can be discussed. In general, I
don't mark photos I edit, but I often do
if I took the picture.
Q. What is turnaround time like?
A. Depends greatly on the job and my schedule. Most jobs are under a week. If you have a rush need,
mention that on the contact page.

Q. How do you do this editing?
A. The industry standard for photo editing is a software package called Photoshop. It's a complicated,
intricate package capable of so much that I know few people who know all it can do! But with years of
practice and classes under my belt, you can see on the other pages what I've taught myself to do.
